Such a Beautiful Museum and so nice interactions!! The riddles, the music, the puzzle and the camera alocation were so exciting!
However the keybinds wern't so intuitive.
Great work!!!
This was such a cool museum experience! The whole space looks so beautiful, and the ambient audio made it feel surprisingly immersive. I also really enjoyed the riddle and the idea of discovering interactions made exploring feel purposeful and fun.
Just a minor detail, I found myself using sprint most of the time. Overall though, this is a very creative and memorable project!
Well done!!!
The sound of the cicadas and the sound of the sea definitely reminded me of Greece! ๐ Combined with the sculpture, it also gave me a sense of Ancient Greece. These two elements, together with everything else, made this experience something "I will remember". I also loved your creativity with the riddle!
I struggled a bit with the keyboard shortcuts. Since there are many different keys to press (M, I, O, E, X, H) it would have been more intuitive if movement was controlled with the arrow keys (fast mode) instead of WASD. This way, the right hand could be free for movement, while the left hand would handle the other functions, making the controls feel more comfortable.
Suggestion: I would love it if the door opened more smoothly, and when the lights are turned off, it would be great if the overall lighting in the room was dimmed even more, so that the shadows could become more pronounced and create a more realistic effect.
What a great idea and execution! The riddle, the wax tablet puzzle, and the overall concept of accessing the interactive items in the correct order were incredibly inventive and kept the end user intrigued.
I would have liked the player to walk a bit faster (I had to use the sprint function at all times), and perhaps simpler input methods—I struggled a bit to remember all the keys.
I would love to see this concept expanded into a whole ancient villa with many rooms and facilities. ๐บ
Thank you for your feedback, really glad to hear the idea resonated with you!! I'll keep your suggestions in mind for future updates. As for the walking speed, quite the unfortunate oversight... I also resorted to sprinting during game-testing, that should've rung a bell lol. Thanks again ! ๐
1) Things I enjoyed: The riddles (!) and the puzzle (!), the quality of the multimedia assets, the use of camera to frame the interactable items, the hand-made drawings!
2) Things I had difficulty with: Slow loading at the beginning (maybe some further optimizing?), a random bug (interaction froze) which required reload. Maybe a slightly higher walking speed? Maybe more simplified input methods, e.g. substitute some keyboard buttons with UI buttons (like an X button to close).
3) Ideas: Instead of using M/R/H to open a UI and X to close it, I think I would heva preferred using the same button to toggle the UI instead (e.g. M to open and close). When the UI is enabled, it would be great to pause the game (not allow navigation with the UI open). I have a bad memory, so I would like to have the riddles info (R) constantly open, so placing it on the side instead of the center would have helped me.
GREAT work! ๐ ๐๏ธ
P.S. Good idea adding your LinkedIn ;)
Thank you for your feedback, very insightful! I will take it all into account and update accordingly in due time. Do you perhaps remember at which point interaction froze? Would like to check if it's a consistent issue. Many thanks again !! ๐
